    Impact story

As of September 2026, Entomal has diverted approximately 160 tonnes of food waste from landfill, avoiding an estimated 463 tonnes of CO₂e emissions while supporting food production equivalent to approximately 45,000 broiler chickens and 425 tonnes of vegetables. Through commercial deployments, inclusive employment and a scalable circular-economy model, it shows that environmental impact and profitability can grow together.

    Collaboration intent

Entomal Biotech is interested in working with corporates, municipalities, technology providers, investors, research institutions and climate-focused organisations to scale circular food waste solutions. Impact Story / Collaboration Intent of Climate Action Network Zimbabwe (CANZIM)

    Impact story

At Thomas Coulter Primary School, CANZIM supported the installation of a 6.5 kVA solar system for a school community of more than 900 learners and reports training approximately 35 young people on renewable energy. It has also convened stakeholders in Bikita, Gutu, Insiza and Makoni to identify local climate priorities; CANZIM reports that this information informed national budget consultations and helped communities call for accountability. Through environmental clubs, it has engaged more than 10 schools in waste sorting and separation-at-source education. These examples link practical school and community initiatives with locally led climate action and policy advocacy.

    Collaboration intent

Potential collaboration with NZGN and Strategy&Ops could focus on climate and sustainability training, school and community waste education, renewable energy access, district climate planning and climate finance advocacy. This would connect CANZIM’s local relationships and experience with NZGN’s international knowledge-sharing and partnership opportunities.
